A Journey from City Leadership to Wellness & Cannabis Innovation

With 20+ years managing multi-million-dollar projects in Chicago, I thrived under pressure—until it impacted my health. I worked around the clock on big projects that impacted thousands of people and didn’t realize I was being impacted too. Soon I was diagnosed with Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis and put on Prednisone to treat some symptoms. After blowing up to 230 pounds and still feeling awful, I sought alternatives to lifelong medication and found healing through holistic wellness and cannabis.

Earning an Illinois Cannabis Infusion License, I saw an opportunity to create high-quality products for healing, not just a high. Now, through Intrepid Green, I help businesses in real estate, hospitality, and cannabis grow and innovate in these fast-evolving industries.

Chris Atkinson

Co-Owner, Bud Weed and Flower

Chris Atkinson built a specialized team of cannabis and construction experts dedicated for Redmond Construction’s growing portfolio of cannabis projects. Working with clients, Chris and her team guided teams through the preconstruction, construction, and regulatory process to become operational. Before entering the cannabis sector, Chris worked in the financial markets and building trading floors in Chicago, NY, Washington DC, Palo Alto, London, and Singapore. Her experience working in highly regulated markets made it an easy transition to the cannabis industry. Formerly with an MSO, Chris has been in the cannabis industry since 2014 and brings deep expertise in cannabis operations, compliance, development, facility construction, and stakeholder management. Her experience includes scaling cannabis companies from start-up fundraising and licensure to operational status across national markets. Chris joined Bud Weed and Flower in March 2023 as a co-owner.

Donna Bracey

Co-Owner, Bud Weed and Flower

Donna Bracey has enjoyed a 25-year career in the Real Estate, Engineering, and Construction sectors. She brings her knowledge from the building products, specialty chemicals, food, and government industries to cannabis. Donna earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from Howard University. After 15 years of working in the industrial space, she shifted her focus to commercial construction. Immediately prior to working in cannabis, she worked for the City of Chicago Public Building Commission building CPS schools. Donna started her career in cannabis in 2019, as a Project Manager with Cresco Labs building cultivation and retail facilities. Throughout her 3 year tenure at Cresco, Donna advanced her career to become the Director of Development, spearheading the preconstruction efforts for all new Cresco builds. In January 2023, Donna founded Bud Weed and Flower, a boutique cannabis construction and facility design company that provides consulting and owner’s rep services to the cannabis industry.

Jocelin Brooks

Jocelin Fuller-Brooks is a seasoned cannabis industry professional with five years of experience in both medical and recreational markets. As a Certified Ganjier Product specialist and a distinguished cannabis consultant, she has developed a strong passion for advocacy through education, which led her to the Arkansas State Director role within the highly regarded Cannabis and Hemp reform organization, Minorities For Medical Marijuana (M4MM). Her mission is to continue providing cannabis education in all its forms while furthering her commitment to Cannabis Social Justice.

Kelly Burke

Chief Administrative Officer, Rezen

Kelly Burke is a strategic leader driving operational excellence as Rezen’s Chief Administrative Officer. With experience at Kifcure, Rooted Development, Emerald Acres, and Razbit, she blends administrative expertise with market foresight. Kelly ensures Rezen remains agile, efficient, and responsive to industry trends. Her focus on streamlined operations, employee well-being, and strategic growth positions Rezen as an industry leader. Through her leadership, Rezen continues to set new standards in cannabis innovation and operational efficiency.

Jarett Burke

Jarett A. Burke is a strategic leader and entrepreneur with deep expertise in cannabis and CPG industries. A Business graduate of Aurora University, he founded Razbit, Inc. to elevate brands in technology and cannabis before leading Kifcure to success in holistic hemp solutions. Now as CEO of Rezen, Jarett applies his skills in fundraising, partnerships, and strategic growth to drive innovation in cannabis branding. His proven track record and commitment to excellence continue to shape the industry’s future.

Elizabeth Cohen

Elizabeth Cohen is a brand strategist, innovator and founder of EMC Strategy LLC, a strategic growth consultancy with a mission of helping consumer marketing leaders use strategic insights to fuel brand growth and sustainable market performance. Her clients include mid-market companies and legacy brands in the Food, Beverage, Beauty & Wellness sectors. Elizabeth’s corporate career spanned 20+ years in marketing, strategy and innovation leadership roles for CPG Food & Beverage companies (Kraft, PepsiCo, Sara Lee, Hostess) and PE-backed, fast moving beauty Over her career she has delivered a combined $100M+ in incremental revenue from innovation, all grounded in market and consumer trends and insights. Elizabeth holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Maát Reed – President, On The Move Contracting Services Maát Reed is the founder and president of On The Move Contracting Services, LLC, a New York State-certified MWBE. A SUNY Empire State graduate, she began her career in television sales before launching her agency in 2009. On The Move specializes in advertising strategy, media buying, production, event marketing, and digital content creation, delivering impactful campaigns for business and retail clients. Committed to excellence and community, Maát also donates time and talent to local initiatives. Her agency is known for expertise, personalized service, and proven results, driving sustained growth for its clients.

Sandy Serna

Sandy Serna is an experienced cultivation consultant and industry leader with expertise in cannabis production, CPG, and operational management. As the CEO and Founder of H.R. Horticultural Services, she specializes in optimizing cultivation practices and project management. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and GMP-certified professional, Sandy brings efficiency and innovation to the cannabis sector. Her roles at Cresco Labs, Bonsai Bakery, and College of DuPage highlight her commitment to research, education, and sustainability. With a strong background in horticulture and business, she continues to shape the future of cannabis cultivation and consumer product development.

Andrew Young

Chief Operations Officer

Andrew Young is a seasoned strategist with a passion for innovation and consumer-focused solutions in the cannabis and hemp industries. At Harvest Dispensaries, he elevated retail experiences through thoughtful design, while at BeyondBrands, he helped propel hemp brands into mainstream retail. Through Synergistic Collabs Consulting, he guided brands in market growth and engagement. At CBD Emporium, he drove strategic partnerships and educational initiatives. Now, as COO of Rezen, Andrew leverages his expertise to position Rezen brands at the forefront of innovation, quality, and consumer engagement in the evolving cannabis market.
